You sure you want to go with the 1g x 8?

G.Skill 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz Ripjaws Series (9-9-9-24) Dual Channel kit (F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL)
by G.Skill
Link: https://amzn.com/B00339X1EM

These are mine - leaves room for upgrade if you have 8 slots for RAM

edit: i misread you want 1 stick with 8g? how many slots do you have? you also didnt provide link/price for your current choice, so dont know what your budget is

Like hamel hinted at but didn't make completely clear, your motherboard HAS to support DDR4 or it's down-scaled to DDR3 (but still functions) . Making purchasing DDR4 a waste of money.
Very few motherboards support DDR4 yet. Check the specs of yours before making a decision on your purchase.
I do know some good options for DDR3 that go on sale frequently if it turns out you don't have the right motherboard for DDR4.
Also, DDR4 isn't necessary and is still pretty expensive since it's relatively new. Especially if you're just using it for gaming, it's completely unnecessary. It's much more useful for high maintenance stuff. It's one of those cases where you don't need the best possible thing, and is only really worth getting if you have money to throw around.  Even with the idea of future proofing, you're better of spending money on more size rather than more speed. Since 8GB is the current standard, you would want more for future proofing.
G.Skill and Ballistix are usually the best and most cost efficient, though.

This. Knowing what you already have, and plan on getting, would help a lot.
